Paprican Micro-Scanner is a multi-purpose camera based image analyzer
for visible dirt reported both in physical size and by equivalent black
area; light feature analysis for pin holes and windows and stickies,
paper formation quality analysis, solid print uniformity analysis and
fleck detection.
Wide Format Image
Analyzer for dirt count on large sample sheets. Gives you Equivalent
Black Area and automatic threshold routines on samples up to 1m wide
with 65 micrometer/pixel resolution.
Paper Perfect is
a formation analyzer that lets the user decide how to compare formation.
You can compare a sample against a perfect formation, or an industry
standard formation or a company sample formation. In any case you get
discernable numbers that can be used for future comparisons.
The Dynamic Sorption
Tester uses the Bristow Technique to measure liquid sorption into paper
or board. This test has a very short period of time where the liquid
is in contact with the paper resulting in more realistic tests.
The Paprican Ink-Scanner
is an image analyzer that measures the ink remaining in paper or board
after recycling or de-inking. It illuminates the specimen with a near
IR diffuse source. The instrument incorporates a state-of-the-art detector
which collects and directly transmits the digital image to the processor
for analysis. All adjustments are automatic. It is very quick and easy
to use.
The Fiber Quality
Analyzer rapidly, accurately and automatically determines the quality
of cellulose fibers. It uses advanced image analysis to determine kink,
curl, fiber length and fiber width. The special flow cell never clogs
and rotary polarized light picks up fines while ignoring contaminants.
There is also an
On-Line Fiber Quality Analyzer that determines the quality of cellulose
fibers on line. No samples to take. No delay in seeing results to changes
in process. It can interface to your DCS or PLC systems. Use this as
a continuous feedback to your process to make immediate changes when
the pulp changes.
The Domtar Lint
Tester consists of a device for collecting the lint, or other debris,
from an offset blanket (lab or production press) and a device for screening
the lint to determine the mass fraction retained on a 150 and 400 mesh.
Paprispec is an
on line system for monitoring plastic levels in pulp. It processes a
continuous side stream of pulp where a reverse hydrocyclone concentrates
the plastic particles in a reject stream while accepted pulp is returned
to the process. The reject stream is processed further by a pressurized
mini-screen. The screen removes any remaining pulp and retains the accumulated
plastic until sampling is complete. The accumulated particles are then
back-flushed from the mini-screen and sent to a collection cup.
