Dangerous power disturbances can strike anywhere in your facility at any time. In fact, 65 percent of all transients are generated by equpment within your building. That is why it makes sense to have a coordinated network approach
to power conditioning. Installing a system at the electrical service entrance is the obvious place to start. However,
in most cases, that is not enough. Installing protection at distribution, branch panelbords and at specific sensitive
loads through your facility is the best way to prevent damage and eliminate downtime. This coordinated network
approach or Complete Copper Wire Protection Strategy consists of three specific stanges of protection. ___________________________________________________________________________
STAGE 1
TVSS
Transient Voltage Surge Supression
Products that focus on limiting high-voltage spikes to a level that is acceptable to most electronic equipment.
The products recommended as a first line of defense use components that are placed in parallel with the line,
and serve as clamping mechanisms for high-energy impulses. High-Frequency noise is addressed to a limited
degree by all parallel connected SPD products. However, the primary emphasis is placed on high-energy transient
diversion and impulse clamping. These devices take tens of thousands of volts and reduce them to a few hundred volts.

IslaGuard High Exposure
Service entrance or distribution panel applications of 800 amperes and above, or in those locations deemed critical
or subject to severe exposure. Are you often struck by lightening? Then use this protection.

IslaGuard Medium Exposure
Typically installed on distribution or sub-distribution panel applications of 600 to 1200 amperes. Other applications
include motor control centers and control panels.

IslaGurd Low Exposure
Branch or lighting panel applications of 600 amperes and below. Other applications include control panels and electronics equipment placed in light to moderate exposure locations.

IslaTrac
This is a brand new product made for electronic grade equipment drawing up to 20 amperes of continuous current.
Use this on electronics that do not have associated processors.

STAGE 2
Critical Load Protection
Low energy transients and high frequency noise are the primary causes for system disruption and long term degradation of microporcessor based equipment iwthin your facility. Products selected for use in Stage 2 build upon a unique two-state
hybrid design. This technology creates a foundation for a family of products that attenuate impulses that would normally
go untouched by standard, parallel clamping technology. These devices take thousands of volts of disturbance and reduce them to a few volts.

Islatrol Elite
For microprocessor based products, including industrial PLCs, OEM applications and motion control systems.
Uses DIN rail mounting.

Islatrol Plus
Industrial or office eqipment, computers placed in harsh environments.

Islatrol
Industrial, medical and telecommunications equipment. This is the original Islatrol. It come in PC board mounted
low amperage models all the way up to 3-phase models capable of protecting an entire radio or TV station.

Islatran
Critical loads, especially those applications requiring a zero ground reference. This is a zero-ground-reference
transformer with an Islatrol in the secondary. Consider this for networked work stations.

PowerSure
Uninterruptible Power Supplies. Includes filtering and TVSS protection. Technology similar to co-generation systems
is easy on battery life.

STAGE 3
Data/Signal
The rapid development of automated controls, telecommunications, and fire/security systems has made it imperative
to have properly coordinated low voltage protection. Modem networked industrial facilities require error gree transmission
of information for maximum productivity and integrity of data. State 3 products utilize high speed, high energy components
in a variety of application specific voltage levels and unique packaging configurations.

DATA/INSTRUMENTATION
D-DIN or D-MOD
For process equipment, systems I/O, and communications networks.
TMR-036
Mounts directly into an unused conduit entry on a process transmitter housing.
WSLC-30
For cells and weighing systems. Protects all six wires on a strain gauge.
FS-1 or FS-2
Data or signal protection within fire or security panels.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS
CAE Series (analog), CDE Series (digital) CCO Series (CO trunk)
Key systems and PABXs.
PDBLK Series
A split block substitute with transient ground rail. Capable of accepting solid or stranded 26 to 14 AWG conductors.
PDB-GND Rail Series
Ground rail designed to fit standard 66MI-50 punch down blocks.
TELDAT Series
Individual telephone or data line protection.

COAXIAL
C-OAX Series
For CCTV and coaxial based data and audio transmission.
